Front Page, Column 5MRS. HARRY HIGBY DIED YESTERDAY
Mrs. Harry M. HIGBY died yesterday afternoon at the Taylor Clinic Hospital in Des Moines following an operation which was performed Monday morning at eight o'clock (note: in Polk Co., IA).
It was thought that Mrs. HIGBY was improving but yesterday afternoon she was taken suddenly worse, and death came at five o'clock.
Fuenral arrangements have not yet been made, but the body will be brought to this city for burial and will probably arrive tomorrow.

The funeral services for Mrs. Harry HIGBY will be held at the Christian church Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. R. H. Polly officiating.
Mrs. HIGBY died in Des Moines, Tuesday afternoon, the remains arriving here today on the noon train.

Leno E. FREEMAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. FREEMAN, was born at Ogden, Ill., Oct. 18, 1892, and died at the age of twentynine years, two months and nine days.
The family moved to Iowa when Leno was a child and she spent most of her life in the vicinity of Fairfield. She was married to Harry M. HIGBY, November 24, 1910, and moved to Des Moines about three years ago.
Mrs. HIGBY was a faithful member of the Christian church, a woman of industrious habits, high moral character and a loving, faithful daughter and wife. Her departure has left a vacancy which cannot be filled.
She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Mary F. FREEMAN, three sister, Mrs. Lydia MORROW, of Eldon, Iowa; Mrs. Minnie PETERS, of St. Joe, Ill.; Mrs. Iva SAWVELL of Drakesville, Iowa and two brother, Lewis, of Ottumwa, Ia., and E. C. at home. A host of friends here and in Des Moines together with her relatives mourn her departure.
Funeral services were conducted from the Christian church, Fairfield, Iowa, by the pastor, Rev. R. H. Polly, Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
