DEATH CLAIMS MRS. HERRIOTT

Mrs. Nettie Kate HERRIOTT, 73, passed away this morning after an illness of several months.

She suffered a stroke on April 8 at her home, 605 N. Main street, and was taken to the Jefferson county hospital where she was a patient for some time. She was taken to the McCleary nursing home where she passed away this morning.

Last rites will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Nettie Kate HERRIOTT was born April 26, 1879, in Champaign county, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary RICHARD RITTENHOUSE.

She was united in marriage on January 3, 1900, at Mahomet, Illinois, to Charles F. HERRIOTT. He passed away in April 1945. The couple moved to Fairfield from the Libertyville community in 1942. Mrs. HERRIOTT was a member of the Libertyville Methodist church.

She is survived by the following children: Clifford G., Des Moines; Robert K., Des Moines; Clyde L., Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. W. L. RICE, West Burlington and Dale HERRIOTT, Ottumwa. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
