Mrs. HENDRICKS Taken In Death

Mrs. Mary C. HENDRICKS, resident of Fairfield for over 54 years, passed away at 2:15 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital. She suffered a stroke last Sunday after which she entered the hospital.

Last rites will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Lee E. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Mary C. HENDRICKS, 83, was born Jan. 20, 1878, in Birmingham, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Ann KENNEDY. She was married to George W. HENDRICKS at Keosauqua in 1895. He died Feb. 2, 1934.

Mrs. HENDRICKS was a member of the First Christian church, the VFW Auxiliary and made her home with Mrs. Florence Baldwin, route 3, Fairfield.

She is survived by the following children: Roy HENDRICKS, Fairfield; Earl F. HENDRICKS, Alexandria, La.; Hazel E. NICHOLS, Fairfield; Paul HENDRICKS and Helen JUNKIN, Reseda, Calif. Other survivors include 18 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and one brother, Louis F. KENNEDY, Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, one daughter, two sisters and a brother.

We wish to express sincere thanks to neighbors, friends, V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Ryan-Strong-Egli Clinic, Dr. Castell, nurses and nurses aides for their help and thoughtful kindness during the illness and subsequent death of our loved one.
