Leonard HENDRICKS

FAIRFIELD -- Leonard "Bud" HENDRICKS, 78, of 100 N. 16th St., died at 6:17 p.m. Nov. 2, 1998, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

He was born Feb. 11, 1920, in Jefferson County to Roy and Eva BURK (sic - BURKE) HENDRICKS. He married Blanche DROZ on Aug. 29, 1964, in Fairfield.

He lived most of his life in Fairfield. He was a greenskeeper for Walton Club and Fairfield Country Club in Fairfield. He also worked for Riverview Golf Club in Keosauqua and Washington Country Club. He was a member of Elks Lodge #1192 and a former member of VFW and the American Legion in Fairfield. He was also a member of Iowa National Guard, and served in World War II.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Carol Ann CLOYED of Moravia; a son, Michael HENDRICKS of Cedar; and a brother, Joe HENDRICKS of Reseda, Calif.

The service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Fairfield Little League.
