BONAPARTE -- Former Bonaparte resident Ray W. HEISE, 75, of Kearney, Neb., died at 2:08 p.m. June 4, 1992, at St. John's Center in Kearney.
He was born July 10, 1916, near Bonaparte to Edward and Nora Elizabeth JESBERG HEISE. He married Ida Mae BACUS on Aug. 9, 1941, in Missouri.
He spent his childhood in the Bonaparte area and farmed there for 39 years. He lived in Fairfield for 19 years, then lived in Colorado Springs, Colo., for 11 years before moving to Kearney 5½ years ago. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Kearney. He had farmed, worked as a gas station attendant, served as custodian at Pence School in Fairfield and as a caretaker of grounds for churches.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Dave of Flower Mound, Texas; a daughter, Janice STEVENS of Fairfield; three grandchildren; a brother, Bob of Mount Pleasant; and two sisters, Pearl VAN WINKLE of Hillsboro and Hazel VAN WINKLE of Mount Pleasant.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.
The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Kearney, the Rev. John Goodbreak officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Horner-Lieske Mortuary in Kearney. Open visitation will be Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield with the family present from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.
Memorials to Immanuel Baptist Church in Kearney may be left at Raymond Funeral Home.
