Mrs. Sidney Jane HEATER, one of the oldest residents of this city, passed peacefully away yesterday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary SIMONS, after an illness extending over a period of eight weeks.
Her death was due in a large measure to the complication of diseases usually attendant upon a person of advanced age. She was born in Hungtington, Pennsylvania in 1818 and was married to John HEATER when eighteen years of age. To them were born ten children six of whom have already passed away. They are: Edward, Victoria, Margaret, Austin, Newton and Loyal.
The family moved to this city on October 31, 1890 and the following June Mr. HEATER passed away (sic - in 1894), leaving his wife and children comparative strangers in this vicinity. Mrs. HEATON (sic) had been a member of the Seventh Day Adventists since early childhood and grew to be well and favorably known in this city.
She is survived by four children, Mrs. Mary SIMONS of this city, Mrs. Kathrine MILLER of Chicago, Mrs. David PARMLEE ond (sic) David HEATER of Des Moines.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at ten o'clock at the residence on West Broadway and the interrment will take place in Evergreen cemetery. Rev. T. S. Pool will conduct the last service
