FAIRFIELD. -- Parsons college has been named to receive a bequest estimated at $40,000 from the estate of the late Abigail HEATON, it was announced today.
A former Fairfield resident, Miss HEATON died November 5 in Pacific Palisades, Calif. She was graduated from Parsons with the class of 1898 and taught Latin in the public schools of Fairfield and Davenport before moving to California many years ago. She also taught in the Los Angeles schools before her retirement.
Under terms of Miss HEATON's will, Parsons will receive two-thirds of the residue of her estate. One third was left to the American Cancer society. Attorneys handling the estate estimate Parsons' share at $40,000 after individual bequests are made. Miss HEATON was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Wilson G. HEATON, Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD. -- Graveside services for Miss Abigail HEATON, who died November 5 in Los Angeles, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Evergreen cemetery. Dr. Curtis R. Douglas will be in charge. She, a former Fairfield resident, was a teacher in California.
