MRS. ISREAL HAINES (sic - HAYNES) DIED LAST NIGHT

Mrs. Israel HAINES died last evening about seven o'clock at her home on South Sixth street after an illness of several weeks. Her death will be regretted by a large circle of friends and relatives. While Mrs. HAINES was known to be a very sick woman her family were not prepared for the end and it came with hardly any warning.

Martha Ellen HUDGELL-HAINES was born in Warren county, Ohio, June 28, 1853, and came to Iowa with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph HUDGELL (sic - HUDGEL), when she was three years old and has since made her home here. She was married to Israel HAINES on December 25, 1874. She is survived by her husband two children --Clarence HAINES and Mrs. John McLANE of this city. Mrs. HAINES also leaves five grandchildren and two brothers Joseph and David HUDGELL of this city to mourn her death.

The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock at the home and the last services will be in charge of Rev. J. A. Longston, pastor of the Christian church, of which Mrs. HAINES has been a member for some time. Dr. Thomas Osborn will assist Rev. Longston. The interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
