Oren G. SHAFFER, age 90, of Fairfield, Iowa, changed his address to his Heavenly home May 7, 2024.

A private family funeral service was held at Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Iowa (note: in Henry Co., IA).

Note: The Kimzey Funeral Home website provided a complete obituary for Oren, including his birthdate of September 21, 1933. He was the son of Garvin A. and Beatrice BLACKMAN SHAFFER, and married Sally Jeannine GRAF in 1952 in Illinois; she preceded him in 2010. He is survived by a son, Douglas, and daughters Leilani (Dan) DODD, Leah (Mark) BLAUVELT, Kimberly (Merlin) MILLER, and Lisa (Subodh) CHOUDHARY; also by seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. His brother in law, Art HARTWICK, also preceded him. Services were private and burial was at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, IA.
