ANNA HAYES PASSES AWAY

Was born in Glendale; funeral services to be Thursday

Miss Anna HAYES, 61, well-known Jefferson county resident, passed away suddenly Tuesday afternoon at 4:45 p.m. at the Jefferson county hospital. She sustained a stroke Tuesday at about 11 a.m. and failed to recover.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9 a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic church in charge of the Rev. Fr. E. F. Gaule. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Friends may call at the Murray funeral home until time for the services tomorrow.

Miss HAYES was born in Glendale on Aug. 3, 1877, the daughter of James J. and Catherine HAYES. She was the last survivor of a family of 11 children.

Her girlhood was spent in the Glendale community and she attended school at Glendale. Her mother passed away when she was yet young. She was a devout member of the Catholic church.

Miss HAYES had made her home the last few years with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Neibert, 303 North Court. Survivors include a cousin, George HAYES, of Chicago.

Relatives from out of town who attended the funeral services for Miss Anna HAYES on Thursday were her cousins George HAYES, Miss Margaret FARRELL and Albert FARRELL, all of Chicago who were guests in the home of J. W. Burns and who returned Thursday afternoon; Mrs. A. J. HAYES and two sons, Albert John and George Edward of Chicago, who were guests in the home of Mrs. HAYES' sister Mrs. L. S. BRADSHAW. Miss HAYES returned Thursday afternoon while the boys will remain until Saturday afternoon. ...
