Front Page, Column 5George P. HAYES Dies In Chicago
Word was received early this afternoon by J. W. Burns of this city of the death of George P. HAYES which occurred in Chicago at 1 p.m. today. Mr. HAYES was raised in Fairfield and has a good many friends and acquaintances here.
He had stayed over-night last Friday at the Burns home while on a visit but was taken suddenly ill yesterday afternoon. Mr. HAYES was making his home in Chicago with his sister, Mrs. Margaret FARRELL.
Although funeral arrangements are incomplete it was stated that interment will be in Fairfield.

The funeral of George P. HAYES will be conducted in Saint Lucy's Catholic church in Chicago Friday at 9 a.m. The body will then be brought to Fairfield and will arrive here at 4:30 p.m. Friday on No. 11.
Interment will be in the family lot at Evergreen cemetery. The Fev. Fr. E. F. Gaule of St. Mary's church will officiate during short services at the grave.

Mrs. Margaret FERRELL (sic) and Mrs. A. J. HAYS (sic) of Chicago, sister and sister-in-law of George P. HAYES, accompanied the body to Fairfield this afternoon which arrived on No. 11.
Margaret FERRELL and Albert FERRELL, daughter and son of Mrs. FERRELL and Albert John HAYS son of Mrs. A. J. HAYS were also in the party. The Cheesey family from Creston who were old friends of George P. HAYES were among the other out of town people who attended the short funeral services held at the family lot in Evergreen cemetery this afternoon, in charge of Rev. Fr. E. F. Gaule of St. Mary's church.
