David HARTMAN

David HARTMAN, 90, of Parkview Care Center, died at 9:45 a.m. today, Friday, Jan, 28, 1994, at Parkview Care Center.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Cecil officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be open beginning Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Veterans of Foreign Wars.

HARTMAN was born Nov. 9, 1903, in Albia, the son of William and Rachel MILLER HARTMAN. He married Bertha HARTMAN (sic - Bertha L. RUARK) on Aug. 20, 1974, in Kahoka, Mo. She died April 10, 1988. He was a carpenter and employed by Burlington Railroad, Bridge Department. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge (sic - Aerie/Club).

Surviving are a daughter, Betty WAGGONER of Reed Springs, Mo.; a son, Jerry of Burlington; a step-daughter, Edna M. LEE of Fairfield; 16 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Jr., three daughters, Marge, Lois Ruth, Evelyn, seven brothers and two sisters.

Note: Buried in Lot 4th.251 with second wife Bertha. He was first married in Albia, IA, to Myrtle Lee NEAL, in 1922; Myrtle died in 1984 and was buried in Albia.
