Miriam C. Timmerman, 87, of Mount Pleasant died Thursday evening Oct. 13, 2005, at Arbor Court in Mount Pleasant.

The funeral was held Saturday at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Lexie Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Memorials have been established to the Mount Union Methodist Church or to Midwest Old Threshers Association.

Mrs. Timmerman was born Oct. 17, 1917, in rural Mount Union, the daughter of Wesley and Nina Baker Corey. She married Glen Timmerman Nov. 17, 1937. He preceded her in death May 19, 1977. She later married Paul Timmerman July 13, 1986. He preceded her in death July 4, 2003.

Mrs. Timmerman graduated from Pleasant Lawn School. She helped on the family farm and was a volunteer at Midwest Old Threshers for many years.

She was a member of the Mount Union Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Daryl Timmerman and wife Dianne of Derby, Kan.; one daughter, Bonnie Greenfield Kaufman and husband Raymond of Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; one great-great-granddaughter; and two brothers Elwyn and Delbert Corey.
