Page Eight, Column 1SUCCUMBS TO LONG ILLNESS
Death came early this morning to a long-time resident of Fairfield. He is George J. HANSEN, 65, who had been employed at the Dexter company for over 29 years.
His death came at 7 a.m. today at his home 803 S. Depot street, after an illness of several months.
The body was taken to the Weston Behner funeral home where last rites are pending.
George J. HANSEN was born October 21, 1884, in Denmark. He came to the United States when a small boy and for the past 37 years had made his home in Fairfield. He was united in marriage on December 4, 1918, to Ruby M. KIMMEL, who survives. The wedding took place at McGregor, Iowa.
HANSEN had been employed at the Dexter company as a molder for nearly thirty years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and two daughters: Mrs. George RAMBO, Moline, Illinois; Mrs. Max MASSENGILL, Indianapolis, Indiana; George HANSEN, Jr., also of Indianapolis; and Donald HANSEN, Fairfield.
Four grandchildren also survive.

Last rites for George J. HANSEN will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with Rev. M. C. Campbell in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
HANSEN, a long-time Dexter company employe, passed away Wednesday morning after a long illness.
