Stricken in Young Womanhood.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred PEQUIGNOT in Cedar township is in mourning this week. Their eldest daughter, Mrs. Bertha HANNA, passed away Saturday. She had been in ill health for some time past and returned to her old home in the fall, hoping that the change might be beneficial. Mrs. HANNA was born in Cedar township, this county, March 12th, 1876 (sic - 1877), and her earlier life was spent there. She was a student in private schools in this city and at Parsons College. Her education was completed in the State Normal school at Greeley, Col. She was a girl of more than ordinary intellectual ability, a bright and persistent student, and developed into an unusually competent instructor. She was employed for three years in the schools of this county and taught six years in the schools of Grand Junction, Col. She was married to Hobart S. HANA September 4th, 1906, and the husband and a son born the 5th inst., Marshall Pequignot HANNA, survive her. In the community where Mrs. HANNA had spent the major portion of her life she was held in the highest esteem as a woman of ability and culture. She had an unusually sweet disposition and a personal attractiveness which brought many friends to her. Grief because of her death will extend far outside the home circle and a full measure of sympathy will go out to the stricken family. Funeral services were held in St. Mary's church, this city, at 1:30 (sic - 10:30) this morning, Rev. H. J. Hogan conducting them.
