Stella May HAIFLEY

Stella May HAIFLEY, 86, died at 1:03 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 1992, at Parkview Care Center.

The service was at 10:30 a.m. today at Behner Funeral Home with Bill Pruett, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. A memorial has been established to Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Mrs. HAIFLEY was born Feb. 10, 1906, in Grand Junction, Colo., the daughter of Grant U. S. and Zadia KELLOGG HAFER. She married John L. HAIFLEY on Jan. 22, 1923, in Albia. He died July 23, 1959. She had worked at The Bethany Home, Jefferson County Hospital and Iowa Malleable. She was a 74-year member of Seventh Day Adventist Church and had lived in the Fairfield community since 1925.

Surviving are two sons, John Jr. and Robert, both of Fairfield; three daughters, Jean DODDS, Charlotte PRUSIA, both of Fairfield, Patty FINDLAY of Rockland, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Myldred SCHOFIELD of Des Moines; two brothers, Robert HAFER of Painted Post, N.Y., and Leo HAFER of Branchport, N.Y. A sister, Dora WALLNER and three great grandchildren preceded her in death.
