Funeral Here Tomorrow Afternoon, Burial In Evergreen Cemetery
Mary W. GRISSOM, wife of Harry D. GRISSOM, died this morning at 1 o'clock at her home 3 miles southeast of Fairfield, after an illness that followed two years of ill health.
The funeral services will be held at Kerrick's Undertaking Parlors tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mary W. GARDNER was born at Vermont, Ill., July 10, 1873 and departed this life at her home near Fairfield, Iowa, March 12, 1924, aged 52 years (sic - 50 years), 8 months and 2 days.
She was united in marriage to Harry D. GRISSOM March 7, 1904. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, three sisters and one brother, Mrs. P. P. CABLE of Coffeyville, Kansas, Mrs. W. J. GRISSOM, Fairfield, Iowa, Mrs. Ella PAEDN of Winchester, Ill., and P. M. GARDNER of Macomb Ill., also a host of relatives and friends. Her parents and four sisters and two brothers having preceded her in death.
She was a member of the M. E. church at Libertyville, Iowa, also the Big Sisters S. S. class there. She was also a member of Royal Neighbors Lodge and Good Cheer society. In 1919 she and her husband moved to Kansas from Iowa, living there one year, then came to Fairfield in 1920 spending the rest of her life in Jefferson county. Mrs. GRISSOM has been in poor health for several years during that time undergoing several operations. During all her suffering there was never a word of complaint, bearing her affliction with a sincere Christain (sic) spirit with her loving patient disposition and smiling through it all only hoping at all times for the best.
Her funeral was held in Fairfield Friday, March 14 at 2 oclock conducted by Rev. Pritchard of Libertyville. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Graham sang "Beautiful Isle of somewhere" "In the Garden" and "Will There be Any Stars in My Crown." Pall bearers were: M. B. Williams, William Swartz, Dave Buchanan, C. R. HAGAN and John Frye.
Relatives from out of town were: Mrs. Ed GRISSOM, Mrs. Dewey SHAFER and son of Astoria, Ill., Mrs. Warren COULTAS of Winchester, Ill., Mrs. Izora BISHOP of Richland and a number of friends from Libertyville were also in attendance.
