Mrs. GRISSOM Taken In Death

Mrs. Edith GRISSOM, 78, lifetime resident of this community, died at 6:30 a.m. today at Jefferson Square Manor in Ottumwa where she had been a patient since June 11 (note: in Wapello Co., IA). She had been in failing health for several years.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Hubert Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. GRISSOM was born Sept. 22, 1889 in Jefferson County, the daughter of A. R. and Rosa M. PATTISON SPEER. She was married to Harry GRISSOM Jan. 19, 1925. He died Oct. 18, 1948.

Mrs. GRISSOM is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clarence SIRDOREUS, Fairfield Route 3, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Floyd SPEER; and one half-brother, R. Grant LINDSAY, Decatur, Mich. Two sisters and two brothers are deceased.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Edith L. GRISSOM, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Edith L. GRISSOM Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 5th day of July, 1968, the last will and testament of Edith L. GRISSOM deceased bearing date of the 9th day of April, 1942, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Thelma SIRDOREUS was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
