Lou GRIFFITTS rite Wednesday

Lou GRIFFITTS, 89, of 407 N. Court St., died at 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 1988, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

Mrs. GRIFFITTS was born Feb. 6, 1899, in Pulaski, the daughter of Dillon and Althea NOEL DAVIS.

She was married to James A. GRIFFITTS Oct. 19, 1918, in Ottumwa. He died May 20, 1967. She had been a homemaker and had worked at the Iowa Ordinance plant and for McIntire Real Estate.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors inlcude two brothers, Wilson D. DAVIS of Windsor, Mo., and Noel E. DAVIS of Medford, Ore., and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Friends may call at their convenience beginning Tuesday morning. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church.
