J. M. GRIFFITTS BURIED TODAY

Fairfield Man Dies After Illness of One Year Here

James M. GRIFFITTS died Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at his home 901 West Grimes street here. He was 79 years old. He had been in poor health for the last year, and has been quite serious for the last five months.

The funeral services were held this afternoon at the Hoskins Funeral home at 2:30 in charge of Rev. Wilbur McLain. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery here.

He is survived by his wife and the following children:

Mrs. Ada PARCELL of Brighton; Mrs. Wilson ROMINE of Monmonth; Dick GRIFFITTS of Roseville, Ill.; Emanuel GRIFFITTS of Lancaster, Ky.; David GRIFFITTS of Roseville, Ill.; Mrs. Layton EDMONDSON of Washington, Ia.; and Mrs. E. SCHARBAUM (sic - SCHLARBAUM); Gilis and Colonel, all of Fairfield.
