Nellie GRIFFITH Rites Wednesday

Mrs. Nellie M. GRIFFITH, 72, died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital. She had been in failing health the past several months and seriously ill the past week.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

Nellie M. GRIFFITH was born Feb. 11, 1898, at Lovilia, the daughter of John and Alta McGRUDER FERRIS. She was married to Harry L. GRIFFITH Sept. 29, 1919 who died March 28, 1954.

A member of the United Methodist Church, Mrs. GRIFFITH had made her home in Fairfield for over 50 years. The family home is located at 305 W. Van Buren.

Two daughters survive. They are Mrs. Jean M. HARRISON, Fairfield, and Mrs. Carol J. SCHAUB, Munster, Ind.; also five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gale GRAY, Des Moines.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. GRIFFITH was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF ADMINISTRATOR AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Nellie M. GRIFFITH, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Above Entitled Estate:

You are hereby notified that the undersigned has been appointed administrator of the above entitled estate; that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, is provided (sic) by law, duly authenticated, for allowance, and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
