GREINER Funeral Will Be Tuesday

Clarence James GREINER, resident of the county for the past eight years, passed away Sunday at 12:20 a.m. at the University hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA). He had been in failing health the past four years and seriously ill the past 10 days. The family home is on route 3, Fairfield.

Last rites will be Tuesday at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. J. Roland Crandall officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

Clarence James GREINER, 54, was born July 1, 1906, in Keokuk county, the son of Charles F. and Florence HUBBS GREINER. He was reared and educated in Keokuk county and married to Doris MALLINGER at Clear Creek, Iowa, on April 19, 1928.

GREINER was preceded in death by his mother, three sisters and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, his father who resides in Galena, Ill., and the following children; Mrs. Irene SIMMONS, Fairfield; Mrs. Ruth SMITH, Washington; Mrs. Betty ROUSH, Fairfield; William D., What Cheer, Iowa; Mrs. Helen NICHOLSON, Fairfield; and Martha, Jerry, Lloyd and Karlena at home.

Other survivors include 15 grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.
