An Old Citizen Gone.

N. R. GREENWOOD, who had lived since 1848 on a farm a mile east of Brookville, died there Monday afternoon from debility attendant upon old age. Deceased was born in Butler county, O., April 10th, 1814, and was married in the same county to Rhoda H. ABRAMS March 27th, 1838. Ten years later they removed to this county. Mr. GREENWOOD was the father of eight children, six of whom are yet living. The only son, M. V. B. GREENWOOD, left for California only a few days ago. The daughters are Mrs. J. R. HUDSON of Polk township, Mrs. E. W. IRELAND of Locust Grove, Mrs. W. T. MOORMAN of this city, Mrs. J. W. SINCLAIR of Grand Junction, Col., and Mrs. Rose (sic - Rose E. MORSE). Mr. GREENWOOD was an active and industrious man through all his long life, honest and conscientious in his dealings with his fellows, an upright man and a useful member of society. The remains were interred in the Evergreen cemetery, this city, this morning, but the side of the wife who died several years ago.
