MRS. ADDIE R. GREESON

Mrs. Addie R. GREESON, who was born July 27, 1856, died yesterday at her home, 413 North B street. She had been in poor health for the past three years, and seriously ill for the past week. Her husband preceded her in death in April of 1934. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Ethel RIBEY (sic - RIVEY) of Fairfield, Donald of Newton, Orion of Elizabeth. N. J. She also leaves one brother Elbert SHERIDAN of Sigourney, and three sisters, and Mrs. Flo MILLS of Sigourney, Mrs. Anna SEATON of Richland, and Mrs. Charles DUNBAR of Minneapolis, Minn. The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home here. The funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. John C. Porath. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery here.

Mrs. A. R. GREESON

Addie R. daughter of Solomon and Henrietta SHERIDAN was born July 27th, 1856 near Richland in Keokuk county, Iowa, and died August 7th, 1935 at the age of 79 years and 11 days.

On December 10, 1890 she was married to Albert R. GREESON who preceded her in death April 16, 1934.

To this union were born three children who survive, and are as follows: Mrs. Ethel RIVEY of Lockridge, Iowa; Don C. of Newton, Iowa and Orion S. of Elizabeth New Jersey. Four grandchildren, Josephine GREESON, Arlene, Junior and Betty RIVEY also survive her.

Mrs. GREESON was the oldest of a family of nine children, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. The surviving brother and sisters are, Albert SHERIDAN and Mrs. Flo MILLS of Sigourney, Mrs. Annie SEATON of Richland and Mrs. C. W. DUNBAR of Minneapolis, Minn.

Mrs. GREESON has spent her entire married life in Jefferson county and for the past 16 years has resided in Fairfield.

She was united with the Methodist church at the age of 15 years and remained faithful to her profession, always attending church as long as her health permitted.

She had been an invalid for more than two years and seriously ill for the past week.

She was held in high esteem by all who knew her and will be greatly missed in the home and community where she has spent so many years.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Fairfield in charge of Rev. John C. Porath. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. The services were held at the Hoskins Funeral home in Fairfield.
