Emanuel GREENUP, a well-known colored resident of Fairfield for the past fifty years, passed away at one o'clock Friday afternoon after being in poor health for the past ten years.
Mr. GREENUP was born in Macon, Mo., April 20, 1858, and passed away at the age of seventy-seven years. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1925. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Jessie ARMISTEAD, 108 East Adams street, with whom he had made his home for many years. He also leaves a brother, Wesley GREENUP of Ottumwa.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the Hoskins Funeral Home in charge of Rev. E. C. Allen. Interment in Evergreen cemetery.
