REBECCA TAYLOR MCDOWELL
Centerville, Ind.

Rebecca Taylor McDOWELL, age 79, of Centerville, Indiana, died Friday, October 13, 2023 at home.

Born December 19, 1943, she grew up in Abington, Indiana. Rebecca was a National Merit Scholar who attended Bryn Mawr. She was a lifelong learner. Rebecca loved nature and taking walks in the countryside. She had also lived in Richmond, Indiana and Fairfield, Iowa.

Survivors include her sons, John SHIPP (Camille) of Wellington, Colorado and Eric SHIPP (Catherine) of Bloomington, Indiana; sisters Carol BAKER (Bill) and Kathy KANAZAWA (Mark); brother Andrew McDOWELL (Beverly); and grandsons James and Edwin.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Nancy McDOWELL.

There will be a private service for Becky McDOWELL in Centerville, Indiana, in the spring of 2024.
