MRS. GOBIN (sic - GOBEN) IS TAKEN TODAY

Funeral Saturday Afternoon from Hoskins Funeral Home

Mrs. Jessie GOBIN, 67, passed away at 3 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. E. SIRDOREUS, five miles east of the city, after being in poor health for sometime.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hoskins Funeral Home. Burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. GOBIN was born in Illinois June 24, 1868. Her husband B. F. GOBIN, preceded her in death seven years ago and since that time Mrs. GOBIN has made her home with her daughter.

She leaves the following children, Mrs. Edith L. HICKS of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. E. E. SIRDOREUS of Fairfield and Dean H. GOBIN of East Moline, Ill. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Myrtle GEMMING and Mrs. Stella CORBIN of Lookeba, Okla.; Ray CORBIN of Wichita, Kans.; Rubin CORBIN of Kansas City and Robert CORBIN of Ione, Colo.

OBITUARY

Mrs. Jessie GOBEN

Jessie CORBIN, eldest daughter of Eli CORBIN and Mary HARRIS CORBIN was born on June 24th 1868 at Pleasant Valley, a suburb of Moline, Ill., and passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs E. E. SIRDOREUS four and one-half miles southeast of Fairfield on Sept. 19th, 1935 at 3 a.m.

On Sept. 11th, 1890 she was united in marriage to Benjamin F. GOBEN who preceded her in death on June 14th, 1929. To this union were born five children. Mrs. Mary KUEHN passed away in 1922 and Jessie died in infancy. Those who survive are Mrs. Edith L. HICKS of Cincinnati Ohio, Dean H. GOBEN of West Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Flora Belle SIRDOREUS of Fairfield, Iowa. Mrs. GOBEN also leaves two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Myrtle GENUNG (sic - GEMMING) and Miss Stella CORBIN of Wichita, Kansas, Reuben E. CORBIN of Kansas City, Missouri and Robert T. CORBIN of Iona, California. She also leaves 7 grandchildren. Mrs. GOBEN had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. E. E. SIRDOREUS for the past seven years. She had been in poor health for some time and had failed rapidly this past summer but the end came suddenly as she had been in Fairfield late Monday afternoon.

Mrs. GOBEN was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.

Funeral services were held at the Hoskins Funeral home on Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in Evergreen cemetery on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.
