GILBERT Rites To Be Thursday

Mrs. Paul GILBERT, 52, died Monday at 6:05 p.m. at the Fairfield Convalescent Home where she had been a patient since December, 1969.

Last rites will be thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Edith Hune (sic - Edith June) GILBERT was born June 19, 1918, near Merrimac in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of John A. and Katherine MILLER BURGER. She was reared and educated in the Pleasant Plain Community and attended Parsons College. She taught in rural schools for a number of years.

She was married to Paul GILBERT Dec. 2, 1941 at Princeton, Ill. He died Oct. 28, 1969. Mrs. GILBERT was a member of the Antioch Church and the Antioch Aid.

Survivors include two children, Vickie Jean and William Dennis; her mother, Mrs. John BURGER; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph SCHILLERSTROM, Mrs. August LUEDTKE, all of Fairfield; and Mrs. Charles WIGGINS, Princeton, Ill.; along with several nephews and nieces.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father.
