Gertrude R. Flick, 84, formerly of Liberty, Ill., died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at her home in Mendon, Ill.

A mass of Christian burial was Aug. 22 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty, with burial in the St. Brigid Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Flick was born Sept. 2, 1920, in Mount Sterling, Ill., the daughter of Henry J. and Mary E. Ebbing Schenk. She married Lewis F. Flick Oct. 20, 1943, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mount Sterling. He died April 9, 1996.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Flick of St. Charles, Mo., and Carl Flick of Mendon; three daughters, Donna Voss, Darlene Wietholder, both of Mendon, and Karen Crossland of Fairfield; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; one sister, and one granddaughter.
