Harold T. Davis Sr., 77, of Bonaparte, died at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at his home.

The funeral is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Larry Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today with the family present from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials to Heritage Baptist Church may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at PO Box 103, Bonaparte 52620.

Mr. Davis was born June 17, 1928, at Vienna, Mo., the son of Thomas and Stella Hayes Davis. He married Wanetta Medley. They divorced. He married Mary L. Warner Oct. 8, 1960, in Waukon. She died Aug. 31, 1989. He married Barbara Helmick Feb. 10, 1990.

He worked in the timber industry in Missouri and Iowa and at rendering plants in Bonaparte and the Quad Cities. He also worked in the maintenance department at Fairfield Aluminum Castings Co. which he retired from in 1990.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Harold "Tom" Davis Jr. and Chris Davis, both of Bonaparte, Doug Davis of Inglis, Fla., Ronald Davis of Wiley, Texas, and Michael Davis of Monett, Mo.; three daughters, Virginia Hauck of Rolla, Mo., and Janeth Johnson and Debra Ortwein, both of Monett, Mo.; four stepsons, Wayne Stocker Sr. of Burlington, Michael Stocker of Fort Madison, John Stocker of New London and Rodney Warner of Bonaparte; two stepdaughters, Maxine Clark of Bonaparte and Gloria Davis of Eldon; two brothers, Elmer Davis of Waynesville, Mo., and Gene Davis of Buckhorn, Mo.; one sister, Virginia Slemp of Richland, Mo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife; one daughter, Joyce Boyer; three brothers, Arthur, Ted and Everett Davis; one stepson, David Warner Jr.; and one stepgrandson.
