August 22, 2005A. Louise Johnson, 91, passed away peacefully on Aug. 20, 2005, at her home in Davenport, Iowa.
Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at the Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Peterson officiating. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa.
Family visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening Aug. 23, 2005, at the Behner Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield or the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Department 929, Alexandria, Va. 22334-0929. They also can by left at the funeral home or in care of the Johnson family, 4220 Wisconsin Ave., Davenport, Iowa 52806.
Mrs. Johnson was born on Sept. 21, 1913, in Grand Forks, N.D., the daughter of Ralph and Hannah Kelly Brown. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1931. She married F. Lee Johnson on March 18, 1936, in Dixon, Ill. He died Aug. 4, 2000.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and later was also employed at Inez Fashion Shop. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Chapter E, T.T.T., Guild Circle, Lend-a-Hand and Lionels.
She is survived by her four children, Bradley (Ruthann) of Naperville, Ill., Alan (Carol) of Washington, D.C., Roger (Sandy) of Danville, Calif., and Julie Forbes of Davenport; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth (Carlton) Tarver, Jon (Brenda) Johnson, Brent (Cecilia) Forbes, Elizabeth (Jeff) Miller, Kent (Amy) Forbes, Phillip Johnson, Peter Johnson, Erica Johnson; seven great-grandchildren, Maurice and Vanessa Tarver, Zachary and Shelby Johnson, Vivianne Miller, Emma and Eli Forbes; siblings, Vernon (Edith) Brown of Peoria, Ill., Lola Brown of Kewanee, Ill., Burnell (Martha) Brown of Peoria, Violet Liston of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Bob (Bettye) Brown of Fairfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, who died in 2000; two sisters, Ruth and Francis; and one brother, Dale.
