Anne Ileen Lillian HYER ROTH, 98, passed in her home in Fairfield, IA, November 11, 2022.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. December 1, 2022, at Behner Funeral Home, 203 S Main St., Fairfield.

Followed by a Celebration of Life with Family and Friends at the McElhinny House, 300 N Court St, Fairfield, till 4:00 p.m.

Anne had a rich full life, Canadian born, with dual citizenship to the United States, to John Amos and Mary YUNG HYER. She was married over 50 years to Dick David ROTH (deceased in 2004).

Anne, a 65-year resident of Fairfield, was a Registered Nurse, who served in the Canadian Govermnent Nursing Corps during World War II, Bermuda, Hawaii, University of Iowa Hospital, Jefferson Co. Hospital, and as the Jefferson County Health Nurse for 17 years.

Anne was active in many community organizations, PEO Chapter MB (Sister of 50 years), a Life Member of Presbyterian Women, Jefferson Co Republican Women, The Women's Club, Alpha Omicron Pi (AΟΠ) and The Presbyterian Church. Anne received the Fairfield Business and Professional Women's Achievement Award in 2011.

Anne's favorite hobbies included golf, bridge, travel (over 30 countries), her horses, knitting, crochet, and her gardens.

Anne is survived by Marshan ROTH (Clyde Campbell) of Fairfield, Greg ROTH of North Carolina, Patricia DOHNALEK (Mark) of Kansas, and Caroline Jo FRESCOLN (Randy) of Iowa, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Anne was preceded by her husband Dick, daughter-in-law, Gerri ROTH, her parents, and all 5 of her brothers and sisters.
