Page 8, Column 5Mrs. GARRETT Dies At Iowa City
Mrs. Clifford GARRETT, 406 N. Tenth, died suddenly at 6 a.m. today at University hospital at Iowa City, where she had been a patient for a number of weeks and underwent surgery there about two weeks ago (note: in Johnson Co., IA).
Mrs. GARRETT was the former Eva HAGANS, daughter of James HAGANS, who makes his home with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ed HAGANS, east of town.
Also surviving are her husband and daughter, Rosemary. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Clifford GARRETT who passed away at the University hospital in Iowa City last Saturday morning.
The services will be at the Hoskins funeral home with the Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. GARRETT passed away after an illness of several months. She had been a patient at the hospital in Iowa City for the past six weeks.
Eva Madeline GARRETT, 40, was born Oct. 16, 1912, at Fairfield, the daughter of James E. and Tola NELSON HAGAN (sic - HAGANS). She was reared and educated near Fairfield, and was united in marriage Oct. 25, 1934, to Clifford GARRETT who survives. The wedding took place at Ottumwa.
She had been a resident of Fairfield the past two years, the family home located at 406 N. Tenth street.
Mrs. GARRETT is survived by her husband and one daughter, Rosemary; and her father. Her mother preceded her in death.
