Death Takes Mrs. GARRETT

Mrs. Alberta A. GARRETT, 92, a long time resident of Fairfield, passed away Sunday at 4:45 p.m. at the Nelson Nursing home. Before entering the Nursing Home she lived at 308 W. Jefferson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of Rev. Alvin E. Nelson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

She was the daughter of Harrison and Rachel HIGGENTON ATKINS and was married to William C. GARRETT August 18, 1897 at Macomb, Ill. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Don ANFINSON of Knoxville, Tenn., and one nephew, Clifford M. ATKINS of Fairfield.

NOTICE OF PROBATE OF WILL, OF APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTOR, AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County

In The Matter Of The Estate Of Alberta (Bertie) A. GARRETT, Deceased.

To All Persons Interested In The Estate of Alberta (Bertie) A. GARRETT Deceased:

You are hereby notified that on the 2nd day of November, 1965, the last will and testament of Alberta (Bertie A. GARRETT deceased bearing date of the 15th day of April, 1958, was admitted to probate in the above named court and that Robert D. Parkin was appointed executor of said estate.

Notice is further given that any action to set aside said will must be brought in the district court of said county within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.

Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the clerk of the above named district court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
