MRS. GARMOE DIES; FUNERAL IS SATURDAY
Mother of Carl GARMOE Summoned After Long Illness Here

Mrs. Martha L. GARMOE, widow of W. D. GARMOE, died last evening at her home 301 East Hempstead street in Fairfield. She had been in poor health for the past two years. Mrs. GARMOE was born near Winfield, Ia., Oct. 20, 1859, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew THOMPSON. She is the mother of Carl GARMOE of this city.

The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 from the Hoskins funeral home, and will be in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery here.

Mrs. GARMOE leaves two sons Carl E. of Fairfield, Merle of Cedar Rapids, and three grandchildren, Virginia of Tustin, Calif., and Ruth and Earl of Fairfield. She also leaves two brothers and two sisters, J. F. THOMPSON, of Raymond, Nebr.; and O. C. THOMPSON, of Winfield; Mrs. J. A. PORTER of Washington, and Mrs. Dr. GRIMES of Wapello.

Mr. GARMOE preceded her in death Feb. 9, 1929, and was very well known citizen here. Mrs. GARMOE was a faithful member of the First Methodist church.
