SHAE MATTHEW McCABE
Fairfield

Shae Matthew McCABE, 43, of Fairfield passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from injuries sustained in an accident.

Shae was born on December 28, 1978, in Fairfield, the son of Earl and Rochelle (MARTIN) McCABE and Dennis and Janette MILLER. He attended Fairfield High School graduating with the class of 1997. Shae was united in marriage to Crystal REINIER in Jamaica on September 12, 2002. He was a loving supportive husband and his children were the world to him, he beamed with pride when it came to them. Wrestling was a huge part of Shae's life, wrestling himself in high school, being a state qualifier, and then represented Team Iowa at 98lbs in 1995 for the Junior Freestyle Team. He started a group for young wrestlers called Wolverines Elite in Fairfield, then later went on to form the Iowa Hammers which was a national dual team traveling near and far. He was a certified wrestling coach, having been an assistant coach at the Fairfield Middle School the last 2 years. "Coach Shae made his wrestlers better wrestlers every time they stepped on the mat." Shae was a huge softball fan, supporting his daughter in her softball endeavors. He enjoyed boating, golfing, fishing, mushroom hunting, grilling, eating at restaurants, and thought he was an IPA connoisseur in his spare time. He didn't know a stranger, could have a conversation with anyone, and was often known to be the "life" of the party.

Shae was an auctioneer for Martin Auction Service graduating from World Wide College of Auctioneering. He previously worked for D.R.B. Construction and most recently Triangle Log and Lumber Company.

Shae is survived by his wife, Crystal, his children Peyton and Cael, all of Fairfield, his parents, Earl and Rochelle McCABE of Fairfield and Dennis and Janette MILLER of Sullivan, Missouri, his siblings, Nathania (Jason) SEXTON, Trevor (Alisha) McCABE, Shay McCABE, Kyleah McCABE, Daxson, McCABE, Addison, McCABE, Denny (Andreana) MILLER, Jessica (Dave) DUNN, Corey (Ryan) THOMECZEK and Sarah (Bret) PARRIGON, grandparents Vera McCABE, Janet MILLER and Don ULM, along with any aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and not to be forgotten his amazing chocolate lab Creed and cat GG.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ron and Darlene MARTIN, Dean McCABE, Ira MILLER, and Norma ULM.
