MRS. B. N. GANTZ IS DEAD TODAY
Passed AWay Early This Morning After Two Years Of Suffering

Mrs. B. N. GANTZ passed away at her home early today following an illness of over two years duration. Mrs. GANTZ was well known to Fairfield, having spent almost her entire life here.

Lettie LANG, the daughter Mr. and Mrs. George P. LANG, was born at Germanville, March 19, 1863, being at the time of her death fifty-nine years of age.

When but nine months old she came to Fairfield with her parents and has since that time made this city her home. She was educated in the Fairfield public schools.

On July 15, 1892 she was married to Dr. B. N. GANTZ who, with three sisters, and three brothers survive her. They are Mrs. L. T. WISECARVER of Sigourney, Mrs. A. H. SUMNER of Iowa City, Mrs E. J. THOMPSON of Ottumwa, P. G. LANG of Burlington, L. H. LANG of Florist (sic) and Fred LANG of Ottumwa.

Several years ago during the Sunday meetings here she joined the Methodist church and attended church until illness prevented. She was also a member of Hawkeye Rebekah Lodge No. 96.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 oclock from the Methodist church with Rev. C. L. Tennant in charge. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

GANTZ FUNERAL HELD YESTERDAY
Services At Methodist Church And Burial At Evergreen Cemetery

Funeral services for Mrs. B. N. GANTZ who died here Saturday, were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 oclock from the Methodist church. Dr. C. L. Tennant of the First Methodist church had charge of the services and Miss Cora Ball accompanied by Miss Gladys Larmore sang two selections.

The body was laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

Those who attended the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. E. P. LANG of Burlington, Fred LANG of Ottumwa, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. THOMPSON and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence THOMPSON of Ottumwa, Mr. and Mrs. I. T. WISECARVER of Sigourney, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. SUMNER of Iowa City, Louis H. LANG of Floris, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cowgill of Packwood, Mrs. E. A. Morman of Packwood, Mr. and Mrs. C. Y. Smith of Ottumwa and Mr. and Mrs. Harry GANTZ and family of Brookville.

Deaths

GANTZ, Mrs. B. N.--Died at her home in Fairfield Saturday following an illness of several years, due to cancer.

Mrs. GANTZ was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. LANG, and was born in this county at Germanville in 1863. She lived practically her entire life in Fairfield, and was married to Dr. B. N. GANTZ of this city in 1892.

She is survived by her husband and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. I. T. WISECARVER of Sigourney, Mrs. E. J. THOMPSON of Ottumwa, Mrs. A. H. SUMNER of Iowa City, P. G. LANG of Burlington, L. H. LANG of Floris and Fred LANG of Ottumwa.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at the M. E. church by Rev. Tennant, and interment made in Evergreen cemetery.
