Former Fairfield Physician Passed Away Yesterday

Dr. Byron N. GANTZ, former local physician, passed away southwest of Fairfield yesterday at 8:30 a.m. Dr. GANTZ, 82 years of age, practiced here for many years as a homopathic physician.

He was born October 23, 1860 in Brookville, the son of Jacob and Louise GANTZ. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. S. P. ANDERSON of Gilroy, California and one brother, E. C. GANTZ of Long Beach, California.

The body is now at the Murray Funeral Home and services are pending.

GANTZ Funeral Will Be Held Thursday Afternoon, 2:30 P. M.

Funeral service for Dr. Byron N. GANTZ, former local physician, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from the Murray funeral home. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

Dr. GANTZ was born October 23, 1860, in Brookville, the son of Jacob and Louise GANTZ. He practiced in Fairfield many years ago as a homopathic physician. His wife, Lettie LANG GANTZ, died in 1922.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Minnie ANDERSON of Watsonville, Calif., and two brothers, James GANTZ, Los Angeles, Calif., and E. C. GANTZ, Long Beach, Calif.
