David "Big Dave" Plotz

David "Big Dave" John Plotz, 55, of Fairfield, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at his home.

According to Mr. Plotz's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Friends and family met for an open house and celebration of life Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Hospice of Central Iowa, 204 S. Jefferson St., Suite 103, Mount Pleasant 52641.

Cremation Society of Eastern, Central, Western Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Plotz was born Nov. 3, 1949, in Oshkosh, Wis., the son of Clarence and Alice Plotz.

Mr. Plotz attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and majored in business and marketing. He was affiliated with Landmark Corporation, Amazon Herb Company and other health companies.

Survivors include one daughter, Emma Plotz of Chicago, Ill.; former wife, Donna Wils of Chicago; and one sister, Marcia Beebe and husband Robert of Marion, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and one brother, Richard Plotz.
