Carl A. Monvoisin Sr., 50, of Metairle, La., died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005.

The funeral was Aug. 8 at St. Philip Neri Church in Metairle. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Ochsner Clinic Cancer Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Monvoisin is survived by his wife, Karin Wragg Monvoisin; two sons, Carl "Tony" Monvoisin Jr., and Kevin Monvoisin; one brother, Larry P. Monoisin Jr.; one sister, Laura Furry; in-laws, Robert and Mary Lou Wragg of Canyon Lake, Texas, and Jim and Rosemary Rood of Fairfield; two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry P. Monvoisin Sr. and Barbara Ann Graftato Maxion; one brother, Joseph James Monvoisin.
