Long-Time Fairfield Resident dies After Several Week's IllnessFrank FUQUA, 72, passed away at 11:15 last night at his home, 610 South Sixth street, following a serious illness of several weeks duration. He had been in poor health for the past eight months. The body was taken to the Hoskins Funeral Home.
Mr. FUQUA was born May 13, 1865 in Iowa. He moved to Fairfield from Pleasant Plain some 24 years ago, and for the past several years had been engaged in the grocery business here.
Surviving him are his wife and the following children, Ernest FUQUA, Mrs. Zella CORNELL, Mrs. Elsie RICKERD, all of Fairfield and Mrs. Hazel BONNETT of Ottumwa; and six grandchildren. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Nora CARSE of Fairfield, Scott FUQUA of Portland, Ore. and Charlie FUQUA of Spokane, Wash. His father, mother and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held for Frank FUQUA at 2:30 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, at the Hoskins Funeral Home. Dr. M. A. Gable will be in charge of the services. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Frank FUQUA, son of John and Nancy Rebecca FUQUA was born May 13, 1865 and departed this life November 11, 937 (sic).
He was united in marriage to Sylvia NORTON, October 5, 1890. To this union was born four children, Ernest FUQUA, Mrs. Zella CORNELL; Mrs. Elsie PICKERD (sic - RICKERD) of Fairfield and Mrs. Hazel BONNETT of Ottumwa.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Claude PICKERD (sic) and Mrs. Merle LYNCH of Oskaloosa; Jack PICKARD of Keota; Don and Darlen FUQUA of Fairfield and Eugene BONNETT of Ottumwa.
He also leaves two brothers and sister; Scott FUQUA of Portland, Oregon; Charlie FUQUA of Spokane, Wash.; and Mrs. Nora CARSE of Fairfield. His father and mother and one brother, Thomas, having preceeded (sic) him in death.
