Page 3, Column 4Mrs. Frank FUQUA Dies At Hospital
Mrs. Frank A. FUQUA, resident of Fairfield for over 40 years, passed away about 1:45 a.m. this morning at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She had been in failing health the past several years.
Last rites will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with Dr. J. Henry Teele in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Sylvia FUQUA, 86, was born Sept. 1, 1871, near Merrimac in Henry county. She was the daughter of the late David and Dianna ARMENTROUT NORTON.
She was united in marriage on Oct. 5, 1889, to Frank FUQUA who preceded his wife in death on Nov. 11, 1937.
Mrs. FUQUA was a member of the First Methodist church, American Legion Auxiliary, Womens Relief Corps, Rebekah Lodge No. 386, and the Rowena Circle.
She is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Ray CORNELL, Fairfield; Mrs. Harry BONETT, Ottumwa; and Mrs. Elsie RICKERD, Fairfield. She is also survived by five grand children, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers, four sisters, four half-brothers, one half-sister and one grandson.
Mrs. FUQUA had made her home at the Coed apartments for the past several years.

All members of the Rebekah lodges and the Woman's Relief Corps are asked to meet at the Behner funeral home promptly at 1:15 p.m. Saturday to attend funeral services for Mrs. Frank FUQUA.
