Death takes Hazel FUNK

Hazel THAYER FUNK, 85, 309 E. Adams, died Thursday afternoon at Sunrise Terrace, Winfield, where she had been a resident for 22 months. She had been ill for three days.

The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating. Burial wil be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 until 8.

The daughter of John and Sara WELSCH THAYER, she was born Feb. 19, 1894, in Oakland, Md. On July 27, 1924, she was married to the Rev. David M. FUNK. He died July 18, 1970. She had lived in the Fairfield community for over 21 years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Mrs. FUNK is survived by one daughter, Mary MILHOLIN, Fairfield, one son, David B. FUNK, Davenport, five grandchildren and one sister, Florence BENNER, Annapolis, Md.

Two brothers and one sister are deceased.
