W. H. FULTON DIED MONDAY.

William H. FULTON passed away last night at his home on West Briggs street after an illness of several months although he was able to be up and about the house until only a few hours before his death. Mr. FULTON was one of the oldest residents of Fairfield and was one of the best known men in Jefferson county.

Mr. FULTON was born in Virginia, October 24, 1823, and a few years later moved to Ohio. Here on January 9, 1851, he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth HAYES of Fultonham, Ohio. Here they remained for a time after which they came to Jefferson county in 1855 and settled on a farm near Fairfield. After spending a year on the farm they moved to this city where they have since resided.

There were born to Mr. and Mrs. FULTON five children two of whom Louisa and Susan died in infancy, one, Charles, died about eighteen months ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C. L. McGAW of this city and Mrs. Laura ROSE of Chicago, together with the faithful wife herself past 80 years of age. Mr. FULTON leaves one sister Mrs. Mary WELLER of Zanesville, O.

For over forty-five years Mr. FULTON has been a member of Jefferson lodge No. 4, I. O. O. F. of this city and he is known as one of the oldest Odd Fellows in the county.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m., at the home. Rev. W. A. Wolgemuth, pastor of the First Lutheran church, will have charge of the services. The interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.

Wm. H. FULTON, one of the oldest residents of the city, died at his home Monday evening. The funeral was held at the home Wednesday afternoon. Mr. FULTON is survived by his aged wife and two daughters.
