Rites pending for Willa FULTON

Former Fairfield resident Willa M. FULTON died today at the Iowa Veterans' Home in Marshalltown (note: in Marshall Co., IA). Services are pending at Raymond's Funeral Home.

Willa FULTON rites Tuesday

Services for Willa M. FULTON, 94, who died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown where she had lived the last several years, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the senior citizens center.

A former Fairfield resident, Mrs. FULTON was born March 10, 1891 in Jewell County, Kan., the daughter of William Elonza and Mary Elizabeth GIMPLE HUSTON. She married Harry FULTON June 27, 1916. He died March 21, 1984.

Surviving are a son, Arthur Allen of Dubuque; a daughter, Mary Ellen BARGER of Arlington, Texas; a nephew, Otis L. HOWELL of California, who made his home with the FULTON family; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A former school teacher, Mrs. FULTON was a member of First United Methodist Church, a charter member of Philathea Class, a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of World War I Auxiliary, and a past member of Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association.
