Page 3, Column 3Death of Mrs. FULLER.--Mrs. Kate FULLER died at the residence of her mother, Mrs. Rebecca ROWLAND, in this city Jan. 29, 1888, of consumption. The funeral occurred at 2 o'clock P.M. Tuesday from the residence and was largely attended by friends of the deceased.
Kate ROWLAND was born Dec. 22, 1847 in Hillsborough, Iowa, her parents removing when she was quite young to Fairfield. She grew to womanhood here, attended the Axline academy, and became a teacher in the public schools. She also held a position in the Missouri normal school at Kirksville. She was married Jan. 21, 1874 to John B. FULLER, for the last year and a half she has lived with her mother, being in poor health. The fatal disease gradually wore her life away. She leaves three children.
Kate ROWLAND was a bright girl and talented woman. As a teacher she was eminently successful. She was greatly admired and respected by the entire community.
