RELATIVES TO GO SALT LAKE CITY

Fred FULTON and Boyd PARSONS left this morning for Salt Lake City for the purpose of bringing the body of Alvin FULTON to Fairfield. Relatives here have received no further word as to the circumstances of his drowning at Salt Lake City from which point he had a run on the Denver & Rio Grande to Spokane, Wash., where his wife and daughter Frances live.

Mr. FULTON had recently been taking his vacation and is is not known whether or not he had returned to work when the accident occurred.

REMAINS ARRIVE HERE TONIGHT

The remains of Alvin FULTON, who was drowned at Salt Lake City, will arrive here at midnight, accompanied by Fred FULTON and Boyd PARSONS.

Efforts to reach the unfortunate man's wife in Spokane have been unsuccessful. As they had been taking a vacation it is not known where to locate them. Arrangements for the funeral will not be made until tomorrow.

ALVIN FULTON FUNERAL HELD TODAY

A brief funeral service was held at two o'clock this afternoon for Alvin FULTON, Dr. C. P. Foreman having charge.

It is learned that Mr. FULTON with twenty others was bathing in the lagoon on the other side of the Salt lake, at Salt Lake City, and died just after diving. There were no marks on his body and as the water was not deep his body was at once recovere dbut (sic) he could not be resusitated. It is thought he suffered from heart failure. His family has not yet been located.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot Old.P.112. According to his Utah Death Certificate, Alvin was born July 3, 1879. He was noted as being married, but the document does not ask for a spouse's name. The date of death was given as July 15, 1914. He was the son of Charles FULTON and Frances THOMA FULTON of Fairfield, IA.
