Mrs. FRESHWATER Rites Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert G. "Jake" FRESHWATER, 36, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic church here.

Mrs. FRESHWATER, a resident of Webb City, Mo., was fatally injured Saturday in a two-car accident near Joplin, Mo. She died Saturday at 10:15 p.m. in St. John's hospital in Joplin.

A former local resident, Mrs. FRESHWATER was a registered nurse at the Jefferson County hospital in 1953 and 1954.

Her husband, a former Fairfield resident, was seriously injured in the accident. FRESHWATER is a chemist at the Spencer Chemical Co., in Webb City. He graduated from Parsons college in 1949.

The Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 at Thornill-Dillon mortuary chapel in Joplin. Mass will also be said there Tuesday at 10 a.m. The body will be brought to the Catcott Funeral home in Keosauqua Tuesday night.

Local services will be conducted by Father F.R. Henricksen. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. FRESHWATER, the former Patricia Jean DITZLER, was born Oct. 31, 1929 at Grinnell. She was married to Robert Glen FRESHWATER April 17, 1953. Surviving are her husband and two children, Gustason, 11, and Annette Marie, 9. Her mother, Mrs. Mae DITZLER, also survives.
