Page 3, Column 3MISS GERTRUDE FOWLER DIED THURSDAY.
Many friends in this city will learn with regret of the death of Miss Gertrude King FOWLER, who passed away last night at midnight at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been for several weeks. She has been in very poor health for some time and toward the last grew gradually weaker until it was realized by the relatives and friends that the end was soon near.
Miss FOWLER was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. FOWLER and was born in Pittsburg, Penn. Her parents have both preceeded (sic) her in death. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Kate FOWLER, of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. J. C. HAMPSON of Denver, Col., who were with her at the time of her death.
She has been a life-long member of the Congregational church and throughout her life lived in accordance with its teachings. Until her illness she was one of the efficient stenographers at the Louden Machinery Co. offices, which position she had held for several years.
She was a member of one of the prominent Pittsburg families and during her residence here has always been interested in the social and business affairs of the city. She was a woman who made many friends and they will be grieved to learn of her passing.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock from the late residence on West Burlington street in charge of Rev. Polly. The remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

Miss Gertrude King FOWLER passed away Thursday at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been ill for several weeks.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the residence on West Burlington street, conducted by Rev. R. H. Polly. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.
Miss FOWLER, who was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. FOWLER, was born at Pittsburgh, Pa. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Kate FOWLER of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. J. C. HAMPSON of Denver, Col.
Miss FOWLER was employed as a stenographer in the Louden offices until her illness. She was a member of the Congregational church for many years and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
