Funeral Services Will Be Held This Afternoon, 4 O'clock, From Butler ChapelMrs. Harry WARTHAN, near death from burns in the Jefferson County Hospital, will not see the face of her adopted daughter, Helen FOREMAN WARTHAN, so terribly burned in the fire at their home Sunday that she died yesterday afternoon at four o'clock. Mrs. WARTHAN begged piteously today that the body be brought back to the hospital that she might have a last view, but the privilege was denied in order to save her the shock of seeing the marred features.
Her forty-three school friends of the College Addition school will attend the services in a body which will be held at the Butler Funeral Chapel this afternoon at four o'clock, in charge of Rev. R. T. Fine of the Free Methodist church. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.
Helen FOREMAN WARTHAN was born February 15, 1912, at Quasquaton, Ia.

Neighbors of WARTHAMs Issue Call for Furniture and Also Clothes For Them.Neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Perry WARTHAM and family of West End addition, victims of the fire that sent three members of the family to the hospital and resulted in the death of Helen FOREMAN WARTHAM 12 years old, having restored the little home, whose interior was burned and furniture destroyed, and are now asking for help in refurbishing the house and replacing the clothing destroyed.
The table and stove can be used, but everything else is gone, they say. What is needed is a bed and bed clothing, chairs, a bureau, a cupboard, rugs or a carpet, and any other articles appropriate for a two-room house. Especially does she need a sewing machine.
In addition there must be clothing for all the members of the family, as everything went in the blaze of burning oil which did the damage. Mrs. WARTHAM is a large woman and materials probably will have to be contributed for making up for her.
Mr. WARTHAM is a medium-sized man. Ossie, the little girl is 10 years old and Perry Jr. the boy, is 6.
Anyone having anything to contribute or who wishes to learn further of the needs of the family, may call Mrs. Fred Vogt, phone 3941.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I have no relation to the person(s) mentioned.Note: Buried in the Public Grounds section in Row 6, Space 21. She was the daughter of William 'Billy' and Nellie WISEHART FOREMAN. At some point between Helen's birth in 1912 and 1919, Nellie remarried to Perry WARTHAN. Helen's death certificate lists her as Helen Foreman Warthan, with Perry as the informant, however 'Warthan' has been scribbled out. Helen's surname on her gravestone (which she shares with sister Ossa May who died ten days after Helen) is spelled FORMAN which could very well be an error.
